WOMEN OF TODAY  PROGRAMMING

 

 

            Women of Today support many programs in their local communities.  They raise funds for park equipment, Halloween parties and after prom parties.  They visit people in nursing homes, and hospitals.  They help with immunization clinics, provide babysitting clinics and CPR and First Aid classes.  As you can see Women of Today are vital to the betterment of their communities.

 

            Our State Philanthropy is AID TO FOSTER CHILDREN. Foster children are very special children who are often deprived mentally, physically and emotionally.  Through our financial support we are able to provide for items such as class rings, senior pictures, music lesson and bicycles, which brings a little sunshine to the foster child's life.

 

            Our State Priority Program is MAKE-A-WISH.  The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded to grant wishes of children with life threatening illnesses under the age of eighteen.  By helping to provide funds for this program we can help provide a joyful and meaningful experience for a sick child and their family.

 

            GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS is a program where we can show how proud we are of our country and that we are Americans.  It is a chance to become involved in your local and state government.  Certifications can be done on an individual basis and as a whole chapter.

 

            NATIONAL PRIORITY PROGRAM  - The United States Women of Today sponsors one priority program. This program is voted on every three years. Contact your Programming Vice President or State President for program information. Women of Today can help to provide essential funds and education to its members and their community.
